Privacy policy
In short
- Granjópolis is meant for players aged 13 and over.
- We do not ask for your real name, email or phone number. The game does not use your location, camera, microphone or contacts.
- To keep your game in the cloud and for the League, the game creates an anonymous player and a technical account with random identifiers.
- Your shop name, alias, level and score are visible in the League. Do not use your full name.
- The game shows Google AdMob ads. Where the law requires it, we ask for your permission first.
- You can delete your account and data in Settings › Delete account, or by email (how).
- We do not sell your data. This page uses no cookies and no analytics.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is AndoISa, the independent developer of Granjópolis (Android app, identifier com.anikuapp.granjopolis). Contact for any privacy matter: anikuapp.usa@gmail.com.
Unity and Google process some data with their own services; below we explain which, and under which policy.
2. What data is processed and by whom
2.1 On your device (it does not leave it)
The game keeps your saved game, your settings and some technical preferences (for example, the Unity session and the League's random access data) in the app's private storage. The "offline" farm is a separate save that is never uploaded. If Android backup is turned on, the system may include this data in the backup of your Google account; Android does that, not the game.
2.2 Anonymous player and linked account (Unity Authentication)
- What: a random player identifier, with no name or email. If you choose to link your Google account (optional, in Settings › Account), Unity keeps that account's identifier so it can recognise you on another phone. The game does not read or store your Google email, name or picture.
- Why: to tie your cloud copy to you and let you recover it if you change phones.
- Who: Unity Technologies, as a data processor. Unity Privacy Policy.
2.3 Cloud copy of your game (Unity Cloud Save)
- What: your whole saved game (progress, shop, farm, your membership status, your shop name and alias) and a technical key with the random access data of your League account, so you can recover your rank on another phone.
- When: every few minutes of play if the game changed, and when the app goes to the background.
- Who: Unity Technologies, as a data processor.
2.4 Minimum version and connection check
- On the online farm, the game asks Unity Remote Config for the minimum supported version number, to tell you if you need to update. Unity receives that request with your IP address and basic device data.
- To know whether there is internet, the game sends an empty request to our server (
api.guslobby.com) every few seconds. It arrives with your IP address even if you do not use the League, and also on the offline farm. - Google Play may check whether a new version of the game exists (Google Play In-App Updates API) and show you the rating card (In-App Review API). We receive no personal data from either.
2.5 Granjópolis League (our server)
- When: the League starts when you name your shop and play online. If you delete your account, it turns off on that phone.
- What we send: your shop name, your alias, your level, the Unity player identifier, a random identifier of your League account (with a random technical email and password that are not yours and that you never see) and the money you earn selling in each period (day, week, month and all time).
- What other players see: your shop name, alias, level and score on the League boards. They are public: do not use your full name or personal data.
- Moderation: names go through a word filter. Any player can report a name (offensive, impersonation or advertising); we keep who reported whom and why, and nobody else can see it. With 3 reports from different players the shop is hidden until it changes its name.
- Technical logs: the server records the IP address, date and time, requested path and device or browser type of each request, for security and to limit abuse. They are kept for 14 days at most.
- Who: us, on a virtual private server (VPS) rented from a hosting provider.
2.6 Ads (Google AdMob and Google UMP)
- Which ads: rewarded ads that you ask for (for example, to speed up a build), the voluntary "Help us grow" button, and an app-open ad that may appear when you come back to the game after a while away, with frequency limits. Plus and Pro members do not see the app-open ad. The game has no banners.
- What Google collects through its ads SDK, encrypted in transit: the IP address (which may be used to estimate your approximate location, never your precise one), the Android advertising ID and the app set ID, interactions with the app and the ads (app opens, taps, video views) and diagnostic information (launch time, hangs, energy use).
- Why: to show and measure ads, limit their frequency, prevent fraud and for ad analytics.
- Consent: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and in the US states that require it, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) shows you a form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy options (it appears where it is mandatory). If you refuse personalisation, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, or none.
- Content: we ask AdMob for ads with a maximum rating of "G" (suitable for all audiences).
- Who: Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, as an independent controller of that data. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- In AdMob we only see aggregated reports. We do not receive your IP or your advertising ID.
2.7 Subscriptions (Google Play and Unity IAP)
- What: if you subscribe to Plus or Pro, Google Play handles the payment; we never see or keep your payment details. The game receives the subscription status (active, trial, end date) through Unity IAP and stores it in your saved game, including the cloud copy. The Plus and Pro lanes of the season pass are unlocked by these subscriptions.
- Unity IAP: according to Unity's Google Play disclosure, its purchasing SDK may process identifiers, purchase history, approximate IP address and diagnostic data.
- Cancelling: in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Deleting your game account does not cancel the subscription.
2.8 What we do not do
- We use no analytics of our own, no crash reporting, no social networks and no chat. We do not use Unity Analytics or Unity Ads.
- We do not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, external storage or notification permissions. The Android permissions are: internet, network state, vibration, advertising ID (declared by Google's SDK), Google Play billing, and those that Google's ads library adds for background tasks.
- We do not sell your data or use it for anything other than the game.
3. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Keeping your game in the cloud, recovering it on another phone, running the League and managing your subscription | Performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Personalised ads and Google's access to information on your device | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give or withdraw in Google's form |
| Non-personalised ads that fund a free game, security, fraud and abuse prevention, request rate limits, name moderation and the connection check | Our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Replying to your messages and requests | Legitimate interest and, if you exercise a right, compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
4. Children
Granjópolis is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. The game does not ask for your age. If in your country the minimum age to consent to data processing is higher than 13 (for example, 14 in Spain or up to 16 in other EU countries), you need the permission of a parent or guardian to play. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the game, write to us and we will delete their data. You can also stop personalised ads with the controls in section 9.
5. How long data is kept
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Saved game and settings on your device | Until you uninstall the game or clear its data in Android |
| Anonymous player, linked account and cloud copy (Unity) | While your account exists; deleted when you delete it |
| League account: shop, alias, level and scores | While your account exists; deleted when you delete it, together with your reports and the reports made about you |
| Technical logs of our server | Up to 14 days |
| Backups of the League server, if we make any | A deleted record disappears from them within 30 days at most |
| Emails you send us | As long as needed to reply and, at most, 12 months afterwards |
| Ad data (Google) and purchase records (Google Play) | Under Google's policies; we do not control them |
6. International transfers
Unity and Google may process data outside your country, including the US and other countries outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards they describe in their policies (for example, standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, request portability and withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting what was done before). To exercise them, write to anikuapp.usa@gmail.com; we reply within one month at most. Because we do not keep your name or email, we may ask you for your shop name, alias and other account details to find the account and check that it is yours. For ad data, the most direct way is Google's controls (section 9). If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
8. How to delete your data
- In the game: Settings (the gear) › Delete account › confirm twice. It deletes your cloud copy, your Unity player with the linked Google account, and your League account with its scores and reports.
- By email, if you no longer have the game: write to anikuapp.usa@gmail.com.
- The full steps, what is deleted and what is kept are in Delete your account and data.
- The game saved on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the game or from Android Settings › Apps › Granjópolis › Storage › Clear data.
9. Limiting personalised ads
- In the game: Settings › Privacy options (where mandatory) to change your consent.
- In Android: reset or delete your advertising ID (usually in Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads) and turn off ad personalisation.
- In your Google account: myadcenter.google.com.
10. Security
All the game's connections are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). In the League, each player can only see and change their own record; access keys are random and long; the server limits the number of requests per IP and the administration panel is not reachable from the internet. No system is infallible: if we detected a breach that affected you, we would tell you and notify the authority where required.
11. Changes
If a future version changes anything described here (for example, another service or another kind of ad), we will update this policy before releasing it and change the date above. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the game.
